CELEBRATING
Worship
- The SHUC household gathers on Sundays in the Sanctuary
at 10:00 a.m. to worship God and, be moved by special
music of our Sanctuary Choir, Songsters, Youth Choir,
instrumental and vocal solos, ensembles, and congregational
singing. Children and youth participate actively in
parts of the service before going to their own educational
programs. Following worship we gather in the hall
for coffee and conversation and frequently participate
in "Second Hour."
- The "Second Hour" of Sunday worship is planned around
issues of concern to SHUC participants to help them
learn and better understand the issue and participate
in discussion of its implications for the congregation
and community.
- Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every
month.
- A mid-week prayers and communion service is held
every Wednesday from 7:00 —7:30 p.m. in the Chapel.
- The chapel is open as a place for prayer most of
the day from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
unless otherwise occupied.
- The Labyrinth is a tool for prayer. It is located
in the gym and can be accessed at specific hours or
when the gym is not otherwise used.
