REACHING OUT

Outreach at SHUC

Reaching out is more like reaching inwards. To reach out, each person must first look within to find what God is calling him or her to do. We believe that everyone in our congregation has a calling or a gift and it is our role in Outreach to help facilitate and inspire people to find their own mission. These missions in turn will shape our Church, our Community and our World.

We are in the process of evaluating and evolving our Outreach mission for SHUC and working on bringing together a clear set of values. We believe the following passages reflect our Outreach mission:

“...one should regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” Corinthians 4:1

“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2
