Dear Friends in Shaughnessy Heights United Church,

There are some abnormalities about our normal Lenten Sunday: March 14th.

a. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME! Yes, this is the Saturday night that is shorter than the rest. Set your alarm clocks! (Just think how happy the choir will be with this challenge to their early start for the day….)

b. Holy Communion - we will celebrate communion, gathering as a church family to be blessed together.

As to what is normal this Sunday – the Theme: - “Lent – A Time of Blessing”. Anthems, Hymns and Prayers appropriate for the day.

Looking back to Sunday March 7 – our sincere appreciation again to the JNAC members for their thorough and helpful report and recommendations adopted by the congregation.

Looking ahead to Sunday March 21st – the guest preacher will be Rev. Janet Gear (VST Faculty ) … …
