Planned Giving
Planned Giving at Shaughnessy Heights
United Church is a vital component of stewardship that
benefits our church and its members. Planned giving
allows and encourages members to be good stewards of
their personal resources and promote the longevity and
well being of our congregation and church programs.
It may also benefit other organizations within the church
framework.
Planned Giving involves future gifts
from a donor's capital assets or estate. For example,
a person can make a planned donation to Shaughnessy
Heights United Church through a will. This is called
a bequest to the church. Although bequests are the most
common planned gift received by the church, there are
several other ways to make a gift. A Life Insurance
Policy can be purchased and the church designated as
the beneficiary upon death. Other options for Planned
giving include a Gift Annuity and Listed Securities
such as stocks that you may have in your investment
portfolio.
Planned Giving benefits both the
donor and Shaughnessy Heights United Church. Our ministerial
staff and members of our Board of Trustees will gladly
provide more information and consultation to arrange
a planned gift to the church. All inquiries and gift
arrangements will be kept confidential unless otherwise
instructed by you.
